This is accomplished by enriching the minimal verification data that we receive at checkout (e.g. device ID/IP address, shipping address, email etc.) and extrapolating additional details about the customer and the order behind the scenes. This guarantees that the customer experience remains seamless and uncomplicated, while still mitigating fraud and protecting your order approval rates.
Smart friction - verify the order with the customer still engaged:
Frequently, if an order cannot be validated based on the information submitted by the customer at checkout, the order is placed on hold while your team or a third-party service reviews the order & the customer. Third-party or after-the-fact review is a huge friction point for customers, and it significantly decreases the chances they'll complete the order on your site.
